Brasher/Bogue is Owensboro, Kentucky native Andy Brasher and north-western Iowa boy Dustin Bogue.

Both moved to Nashville in 2005. After meeting through a mutual friend in Music City, the two started writing songs. Andy brings to the collaboration a love for soul music and southern rock and Dustin brings a raw country edge. They are making names for themselves in the country music industry.

Their first album, The Brasher/Bogue Project (released in 2009), was initially meant to be a vehicle for getting their songs to publishers. The fan bases of both Brasher and Bogue joined forces behind the duo and new fans were gravitating toward the music on this CD. The demand to perform live was there. Putting the band together was the next step.

Chris Sogard holds the groove down as the drummer for Brasher/Bogue.

While Chris has been a great friend to Andy and Dustin and big part of Brasher/Bogue for many years, he moved from Denver, Colorado to Louisville, Ky in June of 2013 to become a full time member of the band.

John Adkisson, also of Owensboro, Ky, is a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist who could be seen cutting heads on electric guitar, acoustic, mandolin or fiddle, just to name a few. His home with Brasher/Bogue is on the bass guitar. NO ONE does it like John. Doc McGhee (management for KISS) says, “This guy’s bass playing is SICK!”

Kris “Mudbone” Kaldwell, is a master of guitar. He’s played with many awesome acts, such as Johnny Neel (former member of the Allman Bros. Band). He kicks Brasher/Bogue’s sound into over drive!

Brasher/Bogue History:

In the summer of 2010 Brasher/Bogue landed an event series at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, that became the #1 event series for the venue. Brasher/Bogue performs at “Brasher/Bogue and Real Friends” bi-monthly at the HRC in Nashville and features friends such as Daryle Singletary, Highway 101 (including a guest appearance by Wynonna Judd!), Kelly Pickler, Rivers Rutherford, Bobby Pinson, Ricochet, Veronica Ballestrini, Ashley Gearing, Kingbilly, Jeremy McComb, SixWire and Shawn Mayer to name a few.

This event series gave birth to the “Party Bus” …a 60 seat chartered bus that hauls Brasher/Bogue fans to and from the event. Aside from whisking Brasher/Bogue fans to the Hard Rock Cafe shows in Nashville, Tennessee, the “Party Bus” has also been used in Northwest Iowa and as far south as Florida.

Another unique way of bringing the Brasher/Bogue party to the fans and “Real Friends”(named after the cult popular Brasher/Bogue song, “Real Friends”) is by way of the “Real Friends Cam”. With a live feed from the soundboard and a wireless camera, Brasher/Bogue can broadcast to fans all over the country!

In 2011, Brasher/Bogue was selected to be the official band of Kenny Chesney’s Going Coastal Tour pre-show parties. The events took Brasher/Bogue through Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Detroit, Chicago, Green Bay, DC, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and even Nausau, Bahamas for Kenny Chesney’s Winter Beach Jam.

In June of 2012, Brasher/Bogue released a studio album called By God (Part One), a 5 song EP. The first half of a two disc installment. The single from By God (Part One), “Drivin with the Devil” received lots of airplay on mid-level markets from California through the midwest into the Ohio Valley and South into Florida.

Andy and Dustin were commissioned to write “Drivin’ with the Devil” by Native-Intelligence Distributions to be the theme for the audio book version of Driving With The Devil: Southern Moonshine, Detroit Wheels, and the birth of NASCAR by Neal Thompson. Racing historians and legends alike are raving about the song’s vivid interpretation of the early days of stock car and moonshine.

Brasher/Bogue released the second single from this cd, the title track “By God” in December of 2012. The response has been tremendous for this song. Throughout the nation, people are touched and inspired by the heart-felt patriotism of “By God”. “I am humbled by the number of American military men and women that are so touched by this song that they feel the need to thank us for writing it, give us some memento or just shake our hands. They are true heros and we are honored that they consider our song to be their voice!” -Andy Brasher.

In March of 2013, the second part, By God (Part Two)was released. “Son of A Gun” was the first single released to radio. It has become a fan favorite especially in Brasher/Bogue’s energetic live shows.

Since the release of By God (Part One) and By God (Part Two), Brasher/Bogue has been burning up the roads in their Team Boone,Inc sponsored RV. Recent stops include opening for Head East at Black Diamond Harley Davidson in Marion, IL, the famous Flora Bama, shows with David Nail, Gary Allan, American Young and Jerrod Neimann, and Daytona Bike Week. The group is scheduled to play shows with Charlie Daniels and Hank Williams Jr. in 2014!
